Crisis Services is staffed by highly-trained counselors who provide services to Cook County Residents who may be experiencing a psychiatric crisis or are in need of additional support for symptoms of mental illnesses. Crisis services staff provide brief intervention, support, guidance and linkage to Behavioral Health Services.
Immediate on-site assessment to determine appropriate level o care and provide direct linkage to behavioral health services.
Off-site, community screenings to assess needs and assist in linkage to recommended services.
Crisis Residential- Bed unit for adults who are experiencing an increase in psychiatric symptoms but do not require inpatient hospitalization.
Linkage to services for residents coming out of a psychiatric, hospital, emergency room, or jail.
